EDE supports the EU Commission and EU Member States in the development of disability policies by providing independent scientific advice, analysis and information. Furthermore, the work of EDE serves an informed dialogue with organisations of people with disabilities and with the EU Member States. It also promotes the goals of EU disability policy towards full inclusion and equality of people with disabilities and fulfills the reporting obligations arising from the UNCRPD. The EDE network is managed by Human European Consultancy on behalf of the European Commission.
